Sagoon News is a presentation of news headlines combined from traditional news sources, user generated news, and social news tools. The news sources are gathered through RSS feed, articles submitted by users, and affiliated third-party providers. These various forms of submission are reviewed and displayed in real-time citation and an easy-to-navigate-single-page experience.

Currently, Sagoon provides news in three languages – English, Hindi, and Nepali.

Sagoon has developed an algorithm that groups news articles through a fully automated grouping system.  The grouping algorithm accounts the publication time, the key terms, and the cosine similarity of news and articles in vector space model.

Sagoon news editors have the privilege to make any news article as headline and display it on the Headline section. Sagoon editors also select news articles which are up-to-date and equipped with relevant images. Discriminations pertaining to political, religious, and/or ideological viewpoints are neither entertained nor exercised. Our system will analyze, rank, sort, and display the submitted articles so that the hottest and most informative news articles come on top. Sagoon encourages you to make your articles as analytical as possible as well as support it with evidence like images/pictures.
